Almost 50 years after Simon & Schuster’s publication of her 1964 book Grapefruit—a compilation of instructions and drawings that art critic David Bourdon described as “one of the monuments of conceptual art of the early 1960s” and her husband John Lennon called “the greatest book I’ve ever burned”—artist Yoko Ono has written a new book of instructional poetry, Acorn. Originally made for the Internet, the collection of 100 daily tips such as “Take your pants off / before you fight” will be published by OR Books this June.
