There’s just something magical about winter. Maybe it’s the warm glow of the fire or the glisten of freshly fallen snow; maybe it’s that people are more giving towards each other or knowing that a new year is about to dawn. The year 2015 still has a few gifts left in store for us, including a biography of Dame Maggie Smith, a tale of alternate history and French revolution, and a mystery with William Shakespeare at its core. Looking ahead, 2016 is shaping up to be an incredible year thanks to new titles by Jhumpa Lahiri, Tommy Wallach, and Eloisa James. It may be cold outside, but tucked inside coffee shops and libraries, readers can stay warm and well-read until spring comes again.
