Summer Romance Hunks So Hot You’ll Need Sunscreen

Our summer is so bright, we’re gonna need shades to read… and romance’s hunks are so hot, we’ll really have to slather on the sunscreen. Recent trends in romance novel covers show a bit more plot than pectorals, but we can’t help ourselves. When we spot a glistening chest or straining biceps beckoning to us from the bookshelves, we just gotta stop and check out the guy attached. We judge these books by their covers and let you know what level of SPF you’ll want to buy when you pick up these romantic reads.

Hunk: Tyler Anderson from The Amish Groom by Mindy Starns Clark and Susan Meissner

SPF: 15

His kind brown eyes will warm your heart, but this groom won’t burn you.

Hunk: Ansel Guillaume from Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren

SPF: 30

That crooked grin has us feeling Ansel’s naughty-and-nice nature, but pages must be cracked before you can get a bit of color.

Hunk: Nathan Tremayne from Stormy Persuasion by Johanna Lindsey

SPF: 40

Smuggler deckhand Nathan’s smooth smile belies the promise of choppy waters, so be sure to protect the parts of you that will be getting wet.

Hunk: Fei Long from My Fair Concubine by Jeannie Lin

SPF: 50

Those sharp cheekbones! Those piercing eyes! Don’t stare too long or else it won’t just be your cheeks that get warm.

Hunk: Donovan Kelly from After the Storm by Maya Banks

SPF: 70

You won’t be able to escape to the cool relief of shade once this military man has you in his crosshairs.

Hunk: Ross Forster, Earl of Gladsen from The Virgin of Clan Sinclair by Karen Ranney

SPF: 85

If you make it through the wilderness for an outdoor romp, don’t stop at the very first time. Reapply.

Hunk: Michael Wolf from Recipe for Temptation by Maureen Smith

SPF: 100

We’re willing to stand the heat to stay in this kitchen. He’s got us hungry for the Wolf.

Hunks: Brandon Chase and Alec Andrews from Rush by Nyrae Dawn

SPF: over 300

You’re not gonna wanna just bump and run from these two. Getting hot and sweaty with double the football hunks surely means a touchdown in your future.
