Famed comedian Martin Short is writing a memoir, to be published by Harper in fall 2014. “I’m toying with the title If I’d Saved, I Wouldn’t Be Writing This,” he joked in his publisher’s press release. The book will cover his beginnings on Canadian comedy show SCTV, the Jerry Lewis and Katharine Hepburn impressions that made him famous on SNL, his roles in films like Innerspace and Father of the Bride, and his Broadway leads in Little Me, The Goodbye Girl and The Producers. Short will also write about his 30-year marriage to fellow comic Nancy Dolman, who passed away in 2010. (Photo Credit: Broadway Center for the Performing Arts.)
