“If I were in my 80s, had cured a disease and survived a war, I would be entitled to write a memoir,” joked actor Rainn Wilson after announcing his book deal with Penguin Random House imprint Dutton in a press release; he added that “the guy who is best known for playing a paper salesman with a bad haircut” doesn’t deserve to write such a thing. He’s being modest, though: his character on NBC’s The Office, the deliciously wicked Dwight Schrute, is the only one with lines in every episode of the hit show, and has made it to TV Guide’s list of the top 100 characters in television history.
