Rock and roll biographer Philip Norman—author of the acclaimed Shout! The Beatles in Their Generation and John Lennon: The Life—is working on a Paul McCartney bio, to be published by Little, Brown and Company in 2015. Macca’s “tacit approval” of the project—which, says Norman, involves “not directly co-operating, but not objecting to my interviewing close friends, colleagues, etc”—is surprising given his dislike of Norman’s previous work, in which he believes that (among other inaccuracies) he’s portrayed as Lennon’s inferior.
