There’s Never Been a Better Time to Be Bookish: Introducing BookishFirst

Pop quiz, readers: Do you enjoy reading advanced copies of new releases? Are you the first person your friends go to for book recommendations? Do you find yourself driven, nay, compelled to share your thoughts on books with the world? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’re ready for BookishFirst.

BookishFirst is an exciting new book reviewing platform with a twist. Every Monday the site is loaded up with excerpts of upcoming releases. You can read these excerpts (called “First Looks”) and write a short review (or “First Impression”). Each First Impression you submit automatically enters you into a raffle to win a free copy of the full book! Raffles last for a week, and winners are selected on Tuesdays. If you’re lucky enough to score a book, we only ask that you come back and post a full review once you’ve read it.

Oh, and did we mention there are points? Every action you take on BookishFirst adds points to your account. You get 500 just for signing up, 100 for writing a First Impression, 100 for writing a full review, 100 each time you share your full review on another book site, and 300 for posting your full review on publication day on Amazon. Rack up enough points and you can use them to claim a copy of one of the books in a current or upcoming raffle.

Here’s a look at the books included in our launch week raffle:

The Bookish community is made up of readers who live and breathe stories. Our staff admires your dedication to the authors you love and we appreciate all of the support you’ve given to us. BookishFirst is our gift to you. We want you to be the very first readers to try it, and to be the first ones to give us feedback.

So what are you waiting for? Read, review, and reap the rewards!
