Focus Features and Playtone are teaming to produce a film version of Neil Gaiman’s upcoming horror-fantasy novel, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, set to hit bookstores in June. Atonement and Anna Karenina director Joe Wright is already attached. It isn’t the only Gaiman novel being adapted. Playtone is also developing 2001’s American Gods as an HBO series while Disney has acquired the rights to 2008’s The Graveyard Book.
