John Grisham’s bestselling debut A Time To Kill—the story of lawyer Jake Brigance’s defense of an African-American charged with the murder of his daughter’s white rapists—will premiere on Broadway this fall. The 1989 legal thriller, which spawned a blockbuster with Matthew McConaughey and Samuel L. Jackson in 1996 and a small theatre production in 2011, will this time be adapted by Tony Award winner Rupert Holmes. Previews begin September 28 at the John Golden Theatre.
