After penning 2008’s James Bond novel Devil May Care, British author Sebastian Faulks has signed on for another estate-authorized sequel. Jeeves and The Wedding Bells, due this November, will be the 12th novel in P.G. Wodehouse’s beloved series—which also includes 35 short stories—about the exploits of fop Bertie Wooster and his bright valet. It will also be the first installment not authored by Wodehouse, who wrote his last in 1974 and died the following year. While admitting that his predecessor is “inimitable,” Faulks hopes his novel “will ring bells with aficionados but also bring new readers to these wonderful books.”
