Start-up King Post has launched a Kickstarter campaign for an interactive card game based on Herman Melville’s 19th century classic Moby-Dick, or, The Whale. A mere nine days since its start and with three more weeks to go, the fundraiser has yielded over $65,000—amply clearing its original goal of $25,000. Moby-Dick, or, The Card Game will be out September, with an online companion to follow shortly. “Melville intended the novel to be interactive,” King Post co-founder Tavit Geudelekian told The Washington Post. “[I]n playing the game, people might be drawn back to the book.”
